Step through the entrance and into the Sherlock Holmes–inspired sitting room, where vintage décor and Victorian charm set the stage for a truly immersive experience. Along the walls, you’ll find stunning hand-painted murals dedicated to Selina’s grandparents, a personal and artistic tribute to the generations who inspired her love for teatime tradition. Enter the English Country Garden Dining Room, complete with the serene Lily Pond area, offering elegant seating for up to 17 guests, perfect for gatherings both grand and intimate. Don’t miss a stop in our Mary Poppins Gift Shoppe, a whimsical boutique filled with British-imported treasures and one-of-a-kind handmade gifts, including our specialty line of over 70 house-blended teas. It's a magical shopping experience like no other in San Diego.
For the young-at-heart, visit the Mad Hatter’s Tearoom, a storybook hideaway for private events and themed teas, adorned with oversized mushrooms, a chessboard ceiling, and a grinning Cheshire Cat. And yes, even the bathrooms are part of the enchantment, transformed into magical wizarding lavatories that surprise and delight guests of all ages. This tearoom was built with love, from the vintage teacups and repurposed wood to the hand-sewn curtains and custom murals, all lovingly created by Selina and her dear friend Jen Snead. Now, with nearly two years of memories behind us and many more ahead, we invite you to step inside and see for yourself why The Britannia Tearooms is fast becoming a must-see destination.
