Each month brings a thoughtfully curated menu that reflects the flavours and colours of the season, from delicate finger sandwiches to warm scones with Devon cream and house-made sweets. Paired with our signature Britannia Blend tea or a glass of prosecco, it’s the perfect way to slow down, indulge, and enjoy a moment of timeless elegance.

October Menu
Step into autumn with our specially curated October Afternoon Tea, a celebration of cozy flavors, seasonal indulgence, and the warmth of tradition. From the very first sip to the last sweet bite, this menu has been designed to capture the essence of fall, comforting, colorful, and a little whimsical.
Enjoy a journey that begins with a comforting autumn-inspired starter, followed by a selection of handcrafted savouries that balance familiar favorites with rich seasonal notes. The experience continues with a medley of sweets, pairing classic British bakes with autumn fruits and flavors. Each element has been chosen to reflect the season, offering a perfect balance of tradition and surprise.
Our featured tea this month, The Britannia Blend, is a fragrant mix of black tea, berries, and chamomile, with soft fruity and vanilla notes that pair beautifully with both savoury and sweet elements of the menu. Guests may also complement their experience with prosecco or European beer for a sparkling touch.

In celebration of our upcoming 2-year anniversary this August, we invite you to experience the wonder and whimsy of The Britannia Tearooms through the eyes of its visionary founder, Selina Stockley.
In this exclusive video tour, Selina takes you behind the scenes of San Diego’s most charming British escape, a tearoom built from a lifelong dream and brought to life with heart, heritage, and handcrafted imagination.
Begin your journey in the wild English garden, where roses bloom and fairytale surprises, like Cinderella’s hidden carriage — await discovery. Step through the entrance and into the Sherlock Holmes–inspired sitting room, where vintage décor and Victorian charm set the stage for a truly immersive experience. Along the walls, you’ll find stunning hand-painted murals dedicated to Selina’s grandparents, a personal and artistic tribute to the generations who inspired her love for teatime tradition. Enter the English Country Garden Dining Room, complete with the serene Lily Pond area, offering elegant seating for up to 17 guests, perfect for gatherings both grand and intimate. Don’t miss a stop in our Mary Poppins Gift Shoppe, a whimsical boutique filled with British-imported treasures and one-of-a-kind handmade gifts, including our specialty line of over 70 house-blended teas. It's a magical shopping experience like no other in San Diego.
For the young-at-heart, visit the Mad Hatter’s Tearoom, a storybook hideaway for private events and themed teas, adorned with oversized mushrooms, a chessboard ceiling, and a grinning Cheshire Cat. And yes, even the bathrooms are part of the enchantment, transformed into magical wizarding lavatories that surprise and delight guests of all ages. This tearoom was built with love, from the vintage teacups and repurposed wood to the hand-sewn curtains and custom murals, all lovingly created by Selina and her dear friend Jen Snead. Now, with nearly two years of memories behind us and many more ahead, we invite you to step inside and see for yourself why The Britannia Tearooms is fast becoming a must-see destination.

We have catered Baby showers, birthdays, bridal showers, corporate events, women’s clubs etc. and have a wealth of knowledge in making your event the success it should be.
Once you have decided on the items you would like please call us at 619 683 2748 & let one of our knowledgeable staff help you plan and give you tips for the perfect event. Don't forget tea, we can brew hot or iced for you in easy to transport containers or advise you on how to smoothly brew for large numbers.
